Food For Face: Honey

Honey can be used almost every day on the face. It is a great moisturizer and can fight infections and acne and keep skin soft and supple.


  • Honey bath: Take 1 tbsp. of honey. Mix the honey with warm water and add this solution to the warm water which you would use for your bath. Mix it well and have a bath with it.
  • Milk and honey bath: You need 1/2 cup sea salt, 2 tablespoons baking soda, 1 cup boiling water (be careful while handling it), 1 cup honey, 2 cups milk, 10 drops of vanilla oil (or tea tree oil or any other aroma bath oil). Dissolve sea salt and baking soda in the bathwater. Mix honey in boiling water and add the milk. Add milk-honey mixture and vanilla oil to bathwater.
  • Honey and lemon sugar scrub: 2 1/2 cups of sugar, 2 cups sweet almond oil, 4 teaspoons lemon juice, 4 tablespoons honey, 4 drops lemon essential oil (or any other oil you prefer). Combine all ingredients in small bowl; mix thoroughly. Scoop out a handful of scrub and apply to whole body. Leave mixture on the skin for 10 to 20 minutes. Rinse well with warm water. (Avoid soaking your hair in this mixture.)
