Food For Face: Eggs


We continue our food for face series. Today we see how we can use eggs to enhance our beauty.

Eggs are best for oily skin. The egg white draws the oils out, while the egg yolk moisturizes. So if you have oily skin you will go for egg white only and if you have dry skin go for both. It works very well in firming the skin.

Eggs for Beauty

This is how you use eggs to beautify your skin.

  • Get two small bowls.
  • Separate the egg yolk and the white part in different bowls. Add a few drops of lemon juice in egg white if you have an oily skin. It will help eliminate extra oil. Add a tsp. honey and a tsp. of essential oil in the yolk.
  • Wipe your face with warm cloth to open your pores.
  • Beat until frothy and spread the egg white around your face in circular upward motions while avoiding the eyes.
  • Leave it for 15-30 minutes.
  • Wipe the egg white off your face with a warm, damp cloth.
  • Beat and spread yolk around face in the same manner as the egg white.
  • Leave it for 15-30 minutes.
  • Wash the egg yolk off with cold water to close your pores and pat dry.
  • To tighten your skin after taking the yolk off, rub an ice cube over your face.

You can also use this mask on the backs of your thighs to get rid of the appearance of cellulite.
